Math Team Wins National Championship
The university math team brought home the national championship trophy after a dominant performance at this year's competition.
The university's math team has won the National Collegiate Mathematics Championship for the first time in 15 years, defeating 64 other teams in a grueling three-day competition.
Team captain Sarah Chen led the squad with a perfect score in the individual round. The team also excelled in the collaborative problem-solving segment, finishing 20 minutes ahead of the nearest competitor.
"Months of preparation paid off," said the team's faculty advisor. "These students showed incredible focus and teamwork under pressure."
