English Department Hosts International Poetry Festival
The annual poetry festival returns with an expanded international lineup featuring award-winning poets from across the globe.
The English Department's International Poetry Festival kicked off this week with readings, workshops, and panel discussions featuring poets from 12 countries.
Highlights include a masterclass on contemporary verse by the current Poet Laureate and an open mic night that drew over 500 attendees. The festival also introduced a student poetry competition with cash prizes.
"Poetry connects us across cultures and languages," said the festival director. "This year's lineup reflects the truly global nature of literary expression."
