University Launches New AI Research Center

The university has officially opened its new Artificial Intelligence Research Center, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision research.
The center, which received $25 million in funding from both public and private sources, will house over 50 researchers and provide collaborative spaces for interdisciplinary projects. Faculty from Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics departments will lead initial research programs.
"This center represents our commitment to being at the forefront of technological innovation," said the university president during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. "Our students and researchers will have access to world-class computing resources and mentorship opportunities."
The facility features a high-performance computing cluster, dedicated GPU labs for deep learning research, and open collaboration spaces designed to foster cross-departmental innovation.
